Getting to Know the SCCY CPX-1 and SCCY CPX-2 Pistols

You may be in the market for a new pistol or maybe you are brushing up your knowledge on handguns, either way I am here to tell you a little bit about these two models of SCCYs and what the difference is between them.

The SCCY CPX-1 and SCCY CPX-2 both have mostly the same specifications:

§  Action: Double only

§  Barrel Length: 3.1 Inches

§  Length: 6.0 Inches

§  Height: 4.2 Inches

§  Width: 1.1 Inches

§  Weight: 15 Ounces

§  Caliber: 9×19mm Parabellum

§  Capacity: 10 + 1 rounds, Double stack magazine

§  Material: Stainless steel and Zytel polymer

The main difference between the two models is that the CPX-1 has a manual safety, and the CPX-2 does not.

Both models use a double stack, 9x19mm Parabellum magazine that holds 10 rounds in a magazine and one in the chamber of the pistol. You can keep the extension part on the magazine or, if you have smaller hands, you can remove the extension and replace it with a flat plate. These pistols are lightweight, and easy to handle.

The official SCCY website sates that most name-brand brass cased ammo can be used with these pistols, but not to use Steel Cased, Aluminum Cased, or reloads.

One of my favorite things about these pistols is that the SCCY company has a lifetime warranty on their pistols that follows the pistol, not the owner, so if someone purchases a new or used SCCY, the warranty will follow the pistol no matter who the owner is.

All around, I believe these are both great pistols to own for self-defense and as a concealed carry firearm. With every firearm, I strongly suggest taking it to the range to get comfortable with handling and firing it.
